《Gratitude·Caravan》Premiered in Beijing, the story of brothers pulling a cart to accompany their mother on a long journey was brought to the screen

 A homemade rickshaw carried my mother to Beijing to see Tiananmen Square, and also took the family on a long journey.Based on a true story - Gratitude·Caravan - will have its premiere in Beijing on October 30 and will be released nationwide on November 6.The film revolves around two brothers accompanying their mother on a trip, and writes into the story the family differences, mutual care and help from strangers along the way.

Screenwriter and director Ma Daishan said that the creation was first touched by a photo of holding his mother's hand and walking in the park.The daily family affection in the photos reminded him of the alienation faced by intergenerational relationships in the changing society, and how children respond to the needs of their parents.He hopes to transform such emotions into a journey that can be seen on the screen.

The brothers in the story want to fulfill their father’s dying instructions and take their mother to Tiananmen Square.My mother would get dizzy when riding in cars, trains and planes, so the two built a rickshaw weighing 710 kilograms and pushed and pulled her there.After arriving in Beijing, my mother was very happy to see Tiananmen and her physical condition improved. After discussion, the brothers decided to continue walking.

This companionship lasted for 517 days, traveling 37,000 miles, passing through more than 600 cities, and wearing out 37 pairs of shoes.The film is artistically processed based on real experiences: when climbing over a mountain, there are blood blisters on both feet, and the mother opens the blisters for her son; the family struggles to move forward in a storm, and spends the night in the wilderness having to use firecrackers to drive away wolves.The second brother ignored his wife's objections and accompanied his mother on the road despite being ill, which also caused the journey to collide with the situations of different people in the family.

A girl, Chizuru, who appeared on the way came to ask for help because her father and she had different ideas about how to honor her grandmother.The film's expression of filial piety also involves taking care of one's parents through food and clothing, and further involves respecting the wishes of elders and allowing them to be happy.

In the mountains and fields, the mother and son also encountered a robber who threatened a Yao girl with a knife. The second brother, who was an armed policeman, subdued the robber. Afterwards, the family was warmly received by the Yao village.Another scene is quieter: there is no food in the car, and the younger brother finds the eggs in the bird's nest and plans to cook them for his mother, but the mother asks him to put them back because they are also life.

As the wheel moves forward, people along the way continue to join in the story.Villagers from Henan provided food and accommodation, veterans from Hubei helped repair the caravans, merchants from Guangdong sent daily necessities, and officers and soldiers from the army beat gongs and drums to greet each other.The camera also recorded the mountain peaks, grasslands, woods and houses along the way.

Ma Daishan is a national first-class screenwriter and director. He has created and directed "Iron Man Wang Jinxi".Young director and executive producer Ma Zijing serves as the president of the Vancouver Theater Association in Canada. Her short film - Gray - won the Best Short Film Director Award at the 6th New Concept International Film Festival in San Francisco, USA.

The mother is played by Qin Qiuqi, who has appeared in works such as - Iron Man Wang Jinxi - Kitchen God - Da Jiangdong Goes - Hua Fei Hua - and other works.Zhang Zhizhong, who plays the father, previously played Xu's father in "Xu Haifeng's Gun", Wu Qun in "Chinese Prosecutor", and Sima Fang in "Strategic Alliance".Yang Yucheng, who plays the eldest son, has played the role of Li Jiru in "Love without Trace" and Ma Yiran in "Contest in the Dark".
