Hong Kong movie Gamer Girls will be released on the US on-demand platform on November 11

Film Movement has released the official trailer for the American version of the Hong Kong film Gamer Girls. The film will be released on VOD in the United States on November 11, 2026.

After Dollhouse disbanded, Summer, Raven, Kaki, Lilith and Miko still wanted to play games together.The five reorganized the women's e-sports team under the new team name of Gamer Girls, hoping to break the stereotypes of the outside world.Faced with problems in venue, organization and participation, they transformed a Hong Kong tea restaurant into a competition base and organized the event themselves.

As the selection of the Hong Kong e-sports team approached, the game management suddenly blocked accounts on a large scale and threatened to restrict local players from participating. The reorganization plan of the five people was in danger of being interrupted.This dispute also affects their real-life player community.

The story unfolds in the preparation of the tea restaurant, the differences between the team members and the battle in the virtual world. It uses a large number of visual special effects to present the action and fantasy scenes in the game, and also retains the Hong Kong tea restaurant culture.“Losing together, winning together” is the slogan of the trailer.

The five team members are Yuan Lilin as Summer, Guo Erjun as Lilith, Zhang Mansha as Raven, Wu Yongshi as Kaki, Wu Jiaxin as Miko, and Chen Zongze also participated in the performance.

This is the feature directorial debut of Veronica Bassetto and Sophie Yang. The former is responsible for the script, Jacqueline Liu is the producer, and it is produced by Stay Hungry Keep Foolish Limited.Sophie Yang previously worked as a professional screenwriter.

The film premiered at the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival in 2025, participated in the Rotterdam International Film Festival in 2026, and was released in Hong Kong in March this year.

The film also has two Hong Kong version trailers and original posters.The March 12th date on the poster belongs to the Hong Kong schedule, which is in a different market than the US on-demand release schedule of November 11th.
