The play is directed by Zhang Yongxin and written by Wu Nan, Bian Zhihong, and Tian Yu.Wang Yang plays Zhang Yunkui, Wan Qian plays Ding Yujiao, Huang Chengcheng plays Meng Wanfu, Yu Hewei plays Tian Jiatai, Bi Yanjun plays Zhang Ruxian, Wang He plays Han Xiaoyue; Zhang Tong and Ding Liuyuan star in friendship, and Cao Lei is a special guest star.The whole play uses the image of the moon to run through the fate of the characters, and writes about watchfulness, faith and feelings of family and country amidst the war and separation.
