Episode 1: Loss of Mother

In 2007, Maya Lopez lost both her legs and her mother in a car accident.Maya then moved to New York City with her father, William, who became the commander of the Sportswear Mafia.However, their lives are changed by a dark event.

William was killed by Ronin, and after losing her father, Maya was adopted by Fisk, a powerful businessman and crime lord.Maya becomes Fisk's enforcer and develops a closer relationship with him.However, when Maya learns that Fisk ordered the murder of her father William, she feels angry and betrayed.

During a duel with Daredevil, Maya clashed with Fisk's organization. This was Daredevil's only appearance in the show.Maya seemingly finished off Fisk herself, leaving him seemingly dead.Five months later, Maya returned to Tamaha, Oklahoma, and began having visions of her ancestors.

She meets her cousin Biscuits and his dog Billy Jack, but asks that her existence be kept secret.Maya seeks Henry's help in taking over Fisk's business, but Henry is reluctant.Meanwhile, Fisk is recovering in the hospital, his fate still unknown.It is revealed that Fisk is still alive, although his eye is injured.
