Charles is surprised to find that Uma actually stole a handkerchief from Ben's body, but unfortunately, before he could retrieve it, Uma had already sold it to an unknown buyer.Meanwhile, Olivier made the bold decision to replace Charles' role in the show with Matthew Broderick, a decision that was quickly reversed by himself.Oliver was so annoyed by Broderick's method acting that he rehired Charles.

Elsewhere, Mabel learns a shocking secret from Dickie, who turns out to have been adopted before his parents were pregnant with Ben.Although Dickie devoted a lot of effort to Ben's career, his light was always overshadowed by Ben's success.While searching for clues, Mabel found an old painting of Ben's most famous character, CoBro.She looked closely at the signature and speculated, along with Torbert and Theo, that Dickie might be the true creator of the character.This discovery leads Mabel to believe that Dickie may have a motive for killing Ben.

Meanwhile, Oliver shows Charles the scrapbook he stole from Lolita, which contains some important information about Ben.They had planned to give the scrapbook to Mabel so she could better investigate the case.However, when they tried to contact Mabel, they learned that she had moved out of the apartment and had begun recording a new season of the podcast without their involvement.

After listening to the first episode of the podcast, Detective Biswas was impressed by the detailed evidence that proved Greg was not the killer.Therefore, he decided to reopen the investigation on Ben's case.
