The plot of this drama is based on Yoshiko Mibuchi, one of the first female judges and female lawyers in Japan. The background of the story is set in the Showa period. The protagonist was admitted to Meiji University's new women's college law department, and then passed the Ministry of Justice's Higher Civil Service Examination., became one of the many female civil servants in Japan who became lawyers. After entering the court job, she encountered the outbreak of World War II. Later, in order to help refugees who encountered difficulties after the war, she submitted an application to serve as a judge to the Ministry of Justice, but the Ministry of Justice rejected her application.After applying, she immediately participated in the revision of Japan's Civil Code and the establishment of the Family Court of the Ministry of Justice. After the Ministry of Justice gave the nod in 1978, she became the first female judge in Japan.
