Ning Xiuxiu (played by Yang Mi), the daughter of the richest man in Tianniumiao Village, was kidnapped by bandits on the day she got married. Her father Ning Xuexiang (played by Ni Dahong) was reluctant to sell his land to redeem her and married her sister Ning Susu (played by Xing Fei) to her childhood sweetheart.His lover Fei Wendian (played by Zhang Tianyang).Xiu Xiu decisively severed the relationship with her father, married Feng Dajiao (played by Ou Hao), a farmer who rescued him from the bandit den, learned to do farm work and gradually understood the meaning of land to farmers.

Inspired by the revolutionary ideas of Du Chunlin and others, she used the knowledge she learned to help her neighbors and led the women in the village to get rid of the shackles of feudal ideas.She and her fellow villagers fought against bandits, resisted Japan, and supported the army. During the two decades of hardship but full of legend, Xiuxiu finally reached a reconciliation with her father and realized her self-worth.

It is a TV series directed by Liu Jiacheng, starring Yang Mi and Ou Hao, starring Ni Dahong, Qin Hailu, Xing Fei, Zhang Tianyang, Zhang Haiyu, Chi Peng, Sun Shaolong, and special appearances by Lin Yongjian, Lan Yingying, and Zhao Da.

Filming will start in Shandong in May 2024; on August 5, the drama will be completed.
