The sale of media group Waystar Royco to technology businessman Lukas Matsson is getting closer.The question of whether the high-stakes deal would go through stirred up the Roy family's already existing anxiety and divisions as they anticipated what their lives would be like once the deal was completed.A power struggle ensues as family members believe their cultural and political position will be severely diminished in the future.

Episode 3

On the day of Connor and Willa's wedding in New York, Logan took Tom and the rest of his senior staff (except Gary and Hugo) to Sweden to negotiate with Mattson.He decides to fire Gerri for her mishandling of the cruise ship scandal and lets a reluctant Roman break the news to her at the wedding.However, the sisters soon received news from Tom that Logan had collapsed on the plane and was unresponsive.It gradually became clear that Logan would not survive; his plane turned around and he was pronounced dead on landing.The devastated siblings were forced to coordinate a response with other Waystar executives.Connor and Willa tied the knot in a small ceremony, while Kendall, Schiff and Roman traveled to Teterboro Airport to receive their father's body and release a statement to the media announcing his death.

Episode 4

Shiv was found to be pregnant.Logan's family and close friends gathered at his apartment for his wake.Hugo approaches Kendall and tells him about a potential insider trading scandal involving his daughter.Frank discovers an undated document in Logan's safe that names Kendall as his heir after his death.While others debated the legality of the document, Kendall was taken aback by the news.With the company's succession plan formally calling for a transition of leadership to chief operating officer 《 Roman's current title 》 Kendall and Roman decided to run the company as co-CEOs.The brothers promised to involve Schiff in all operational decisions, but she was frustrated regardless.Given Kendall's past controversies, Hugo and Carolina launched a PR campaign questioning Logan's judgment leading up to his death, which was Roman's turn off.However, Kendall secretly used Hugo to pursue this strategy.

The Roys returned to Los Angeles for Waystar's investor day, where they planned to launch “Living+”, a luxury assisted living community that Logan proposed before his death.Matsson didn't like the idea and tried to convince Shiv to cancel it, telling her about his hostile negotiations with Kendall and Roman in Norway, but was unsuccessful.Shiv confronts her brothers, who admit they don't like the GoJo deal.In light of their recent film production woes, Roman impulsively fired the head of Waystar Film Studios, and later fired Gerri when she blamed him.Shiv and Tom begin a renewed romance.Kendall prepared a wacky demo for the Living+ product launch, hoping to attract enough investment interest to make the GoJo acquisition untenable.Despite Shiv and Roman's concerns (and Matsson's attempts to sabotage him), he managed to deliver a speech that gave Waystar stock a major boost.

Episode 7

The night before the presidential election, the Roys hosted their traditional gathering for political insiders at Schiff and Tom's apartment.Kendall and Roman wanted to file an antitrust lawsuit against the GoJo acquisition, but Schiff — who wanted to keep the deal — invited Mattson to the party in hopes of blocking her brother.However, the siblings later learned that Matsson had grossly exaggerated the number of GoJo users in India, which could have caused a fatal scandal for the company.Roman tried to persuade Connor to drop out of the presidential race, but was unsuccessful because his poll numbers drew Mencken's support away.Jie Li rejected Roman's request to return to Star Wars and negotiated a high-paying separation agreement with him.Tom was angered by rumors circulating at the party about his dismissal, leading to a heated argument between him and Sif over their marriage.Kendall proposed to Frank that Waystar acquire GoJo, with him serving as sole CEO.

Episode 9

The Roy family arrived at Logan's funeral amid street protests that erupted after Mencken was declared the winner.Shiv suggested Matsson publish his false subscriber numbers in India and tell her brother she was pregnant at a time when the news cycle was dominated by the election.Ewan gave a charged eulogy, lending insight into Logan's troubled childhood while denouncing his brother's corrupting influence.Roman was unable to deliver his speech and burst into tears, prompting Kendall to deliver a speech in his place.Shiv brokered a deal between Matsson and Mencken to allow the GoJo deal to go through on the condition that an American CEO be named, which she hopes will be her.After learning this, Kendall recruits Roman and Hugo to join him in opposing Shiva's takeover in the final board vote.Overwhelmed by the funeral and ashamed that his deal with Mencken had backfired, Roman walked into a group of thugs and was attacked.
