《yanzhilei》 is a film set in the Republic of China. It tells the story of a young girl, Ye Zhiqiu, who transforms into the fifth concubine of the Zhou family and enters the Zhou Mansion, just to find out the truth about her sister's death. In the Zhou Mansion, she meets Zhou Yimo, the eldest young master of the Zhou family who holds the secret of her life experience. Together, they uncover the unknown side of the Zhou Mansion, and the two support each other and share the same suspenseful love story.
