The Shen family was accused of treason and the entire family suffered. The female family members were sent to the Jiaofang Department. Before Jialan's mother died, she still managed to leave a way for her daughter to survive.

Jin Qi is already in love with her.In order to remove obstacles to the marriage, Zheng Manyi of the Duke's Mansion set up a trap to kidnap Lan Xiang and sell her to Yangzhou Qingyan Tower.Lu Ji'er, who had been rescued by Lan Xiang, recognized her there and took the risk to let her go.After Lan Xiang returned home, she raised money to save people, and used the wedding banquet at the Marquis Mansion to expose the Zheng family's evil deeds. At the same time, undercurrents surged in the court. Jin Qi and Yongchang Hou escorted the prince back to the capital and made great achievements. The new emperor granted a marriage, but Lan Xiang had no time to get engaged to Han Liang, so she was forced to reenter the Lin Mansion and became Jin Qi's wife.

Mutinies, pursuits and family troubles followed one after another. Lanxiang protected her family with courage and Jinqi gradually discovered her hidden origin. They went from resenting each other to sharing blessings and misfortune. Lanxiang took over the leadership of the Lin family, taking care of both the Xu family's parents and the sisters and descendants who grew up together. In her later years, she still kept writing, leaving behind the past events of the Shen family and the lives of many women, and wrote the Shen Family Records, waiting for the day when the injustice would be seen again by the world.

Because Han Liang supported King Chen, he was left outside the palace after the emperor returned to power, and eventually froze to death on a snowy night.Lin Jinqi escorted his coffin and family back home.Mr. Shouyi contacted Jiangnan scholars and requested to rehabilitate the Shen family.
