Lan Xiang rescued Xingtang and burned the evidence of the prince's secret release.

Jin Qi’s fever persisted. Lan Xiang went out to look for herbs and suddenly heard a cry for help. She hid in the grass and saw that Xingtang's sister was dead and the two bandits were still bullying Xingtang, so she used a fire blunderbuss to knock down one of them, and Xingtang took the opportunity to stab the other to death.Lanxiang put a shawl on her and covered her sister's body, telling her to run away quickly. However, Xingtang always followed, and Lanxiang could only take her back to the hut.

Jin Qi had actually woken up, heard footsteps, and pretended to be asleep for the time being.Xingtang was very hungry, so she took the bean cake from Lan Xiang and told her story while eating: her father and brother stole her money, killed Qinghui, and left her and her sister behind. The sister saw the bodies of her father and brother again on the way, but she was happy that they died first.Lanxiang saved her and killed those who bullied her, she remembered this clearly.

Xingtang took out the note from the comb and handed it to Lanxiang. It contains evidence that Jin Qi secretly released the crown prince, which is enough to wipe out the Lin family. Her father and brother originally planned to give this to the old lady for meritorious service, but they encountered a rebellion by the King of Han, and the old lady entered the palace and never came back.Over the years, she has quietly learned to read, but her father and brother still treat her as blind, so they don't prevent her from seeing the secret.

Lanxiang didn't believe that she would hand over such a thing just to repay her kindness.Only then did Xingtang reveal the serious injuries she had been covering up with her shawl: She came here just because she didn’t want to die with those dirty people. Before she died, she asked Lanxiang to live well. After dark, Lan Xiang read the note and realized that the Zhao family had found out the details of the troupe, boatmen, and body substitutes. She didn't dare to stay and burned the evidence without hesitation, but she didn't realize that Jin Qi had been watching behind her.

Jin Qi originally thought that she only had Han Liang in her heart, and also guessed that she would use this matter to negotiate terms with the Lin family, but she didn't expect that she would burn the paper directly. He woke up and asked her if she had anything to say. She only talked about Xingtang's death and said nothing about the evidence.Wei Bao and others later caught up, but Jin Qi was unable to fight hard.Lan Xiang recognized that the sword used by the bandits earlier was Tian Cewei's sword and concluded that the King of Han was defeated.Jin Qi accordingly advised Wei Bao that he might not be afraid of death, but he should also think about how his family would be implicated.
