The Lin family set up a bureau to resist the night attack, and Jin Qi went north to secure food supplies.

Nan Ke was ordered to deliver the letter, but on the way he encountered Ding Peng, who was seriously injured, and realized that he was a step too late. When Delphinium Huasheng was brought back, Yuan Shaohui was dead. Jin Qi lost control and immediately sought revenge on Delphinium.Lan Xiang stopped him, knowing that the more impulsive he was, the easier it would be to step into the opponent's trap. After the two discussed, they asked the government officials to take the portrait to the streets the next day, deliberately revealing the identity of the military household that Delphinium cared about most and colluding with pirates, in order to provoke her to take action first.

The new emperor came to the throne and the eunuchs lost power, but Mao Suitang still paid money to deliver news for Delphinium. He told the other party that Jin Qi was ill at home and the Yuan Mansion was busy with funerals and property disputes, so it seemed like the right time to take action.Delphinium then ordered Zhang Shuizai to burn grain, intending to leave the capital with no grain to defend. When Wo Na destroyed the court, he would no longer be a water bandit, but would become the King of Jinling.Zhang Shuizai wholeheartedly fulfilled her wish.

Xiu Ru took her three daughters to the Lin family. Lan Xiang asked the whole family to sleep together at night and not to move around without permission. She took Sister Chen to visit Guihua, who was seriously ill, fed her mother medicine, and told her father to close the door and not turn on the lights tonight.Delphinium brought the pirates into the city, but she came to Lin Mansion wearing her wedding dress.Lan Xiang, the maids, and Zhi Niang each held candles to greet them at the door. Delphinium mocked them for not knowing what they could do, and took out a blunderbuss to kill people.

On the other side, Zhang Shuizai went to the grain boat and sprinkled sulfur, but Jin Qi was waiting there, and the two sides fought fiercely. In front of the Lin Mansion, Xiu Ru used the sound of pipa as a signal. Everyone blew out the candles and threw them out, and then poured oil on the incoming enemy. The delphinium was covered in oil and did not dare to light a fire and fire a gun.At this time, someone shouted that Jin Qi had won and Zhang Shuizai was dead. The pirates were shaken and fled, and Lan Xiang lit a fire and attacked Delphinium. Before she died, she wanted to pounce on Lan Xiang and die together, but Xiu Ru threw a pipa to block her, and finally Delphinium was killed in a gunpowder explosion.

Jiugao and Nanke promptly helped Jin Qi to restrain Zhang Shuizai.Although Jin Qi was injured, he was still alive. His hands and feet were severed and handed over to the government for punishment according to law.Shouting news of death in front of the house is just to confuse the enemy.Everyone who participated in guarding the house received fifty taels each, and Xiu Ru also personally avenged her husband.Only then did Jin Qi learn from the son of Duke Xiang that the Duke had passed away. However, after receiving the news from Nan Ke, he continued to set up a defense line and ordered him to secure food first and organize the funeral later. If food is not guaranteed, the country will be destroyed and the family will be destroyed.Jin Qi then dragged his injured body and continued to protect food and went north.
