Lanxiang came to help and took her eldest sister out of the Lu family.

After Lan Xiang left, Jiugao told Jin Qi about the play she had written. It was about the plight of women and many ladies liked it.It happened that the third master was getting married and the second wife was busy cooking. The eldest aunt brought her daughter to ask for her help in making peace.Lu Jian spent all her dowry and even destroyed the list. Because Jin Qi failed to find a job for him, he beat his wife. She showed the scars on her body. Although the second wife felt distressed, she was afraid of disturbing her child's marriage. She also worried that her biological mother had caused Lin's mother to have a miscarriage, so she did not want to displease her sister-in-law.

The second young lady wanted to speak for the eldest sister, but was taken away by her mother, so she had to quietly go to beg Lanxiang. She explained the old grievances of the previous generation: when Lin's father spoiled his concubine, Lin's mother almost died. Eight-year-old Jin Qi was so angry that she beat her father with a stick. The old man later handed over the housekeeping rights to Lin's mother and raised Jin Qi himself. But the elder brother is inconvenient to see the injuries suffered by the eldest sister with his own eyes. The second young lady is still being punished, so she can only ask Lan Xiang to rescue her.

Lan Xiang first found someone to teach Lu Jian a lesson, deliberately mentioning that he beat his wife and put the blame on Jin Qi.As expected, the Lu family came to ask for an explanation, and Lu Jian pretended to be seriously injured.Jin Qi didn't know about it at first, but after hearing it, he realized that his sister had been abused, so he taught Lu Jian a lesson in person and drove away the person. When he went out and saw Lanxiang, he understood that it was her arrangement. The two of them discussed that they could not just break into the official's back house and rob someone, so Jin Qi went to drag the men of the Lu family while Lan Xiang led people into the backyard to pick up the eldest sister.

The eldest sister was forced to take arsenic and commit suicide. There was a collision in the backyard and the danger suddenly emerged.Lanxiang stuffed the blood bag into her arms and took her out. When Lu's mother stopped her, the blood bag burst and the eldest sister fainted when she saw the blood.Lan Xiang and Yu Chan took advantage of the situation and pretended to be seriously injured. The second lady didn't know the inside story and was so anxious that she started crying.Yinxian cleverly took away the arsenic wrapping paper and kept it as evidence. The Lu family had no choice but to let it go for fear of losing lives.

After returning to the Lin family, Jin Qi asked the imperial doctor to examine him, but Lan Xiang described the injury as more serious. It was inconvenient for the imperial physician to examine the body of the female family member in person, so he could only judge based on her description.Jin Qi clearly supports his sister's marriage, and the second and third masters also agree. The second wife still had concerns, so the second young lady cried and said that if she got married and had to endure the injustice, she would not dare to get married in the future, hoping to persuade her mother to change her mind.
