Qingfu was forced to marry, and Ji'er was beaten and sold.

Jialan reminded Lu Jier of the Liu family's maid who was beaten to death by her mistress: the mistress was sentenced to imprisonment for this, and even if she was a slave, her master could not beat her to death at will.Ji'er couldn't listen to the advice and just thought that Jialan didn't want to see her well.Jin Qi handed the evidence of Zhao Xingtang's loan sharking to her mother, hoping that the elders would handle it to prevent the couple from directly breaking up.The eldest wife had disapproved of this marriage back then, but she couldn't resist the old man, and now she was even more unwilling to allow her daughter-in-law to get into trouble.

The eldest lady summoned everyone and announced that Qingfu would be married to Butler Yang Er in the capital. The other party was a widower in his forties. Xingtang couldn't bear to part with this maid who loved her sisters and strongly opposed it.However, Mammy let Qingfu see the evidence of the loan, and Qingfu had no choice but to agree because he wanted to protect Xingtang.Xingtang was illiterate and couldn't understand why she suddenly changed her words. As soon as Qinghui left, the other maids felt sad. Only Ji'er thought she had a chance to be promoted.

Before Ji'er could have a perfect dream, Xingtang falsely accused her of stealing and ordered her to be beaten.Seeing that she was about to be beaten to death, Jialan deliberately broke the vase and knelt down to beg for mercy, thus reminding Ji'er of the law he had spoken before.Ji'er finally came to his senses and said intermittently that even if he killed his slave, he would go to jail. Only then did Xingtang stop and sell the entire Lu family.Jialan and others sent the seriously injured Ji'er back and had time to see her parents.Xu Wanquan understood that he was trying to establish his authority and wanted to spend money to find someone who could deliver the letter so that he could know his daughter's condition at any time.

Zhao's mother came to the door and asked why Jin Qi never came to Zhao's house.Xingtang complained that her father forced her to get married, but her mother never helped her and did not want to talk about it anymore. After seeing her mother off, she went to Jinxiufang to meet her cousin Qian Shaoze. The two were secretly in love, and in order to conceal their relationship, Shaoze often dressed up as a woman.Qingfu was away, so he had to rely on him to take care of the accounts, so the two agreed to use half of the Yuanyang seals to check the accounts.

Hearing that her mother-in-law suddenly came to the courtyard, Xingtang hurried back with two pieces of silk. The eldest wife knew that she was selling out the Lu family to vent her anger, and wanted to take back the stewardship because she had no heirs.Xingtang called Jialan and Xiaolian in advance, promoted them to second-class maids on the spot, and gave them silk and satin, saying that they would satisfy her husband and mother-in-law.The eldest lady understood that she was willing to arrange for the maid to have a baby, so she stopped pursuing it for the time being.Jialan and Xiaolian were not happy about this promotion.
