Buddhist scriptures were changed in the account book by mistake, Jialan was careful to protect herself

Qinghui led the four newly arrived maids to arrange their accommodation and took advantage of the situation to take stock of their temperaments.Lu Ji'er wanted to get close to her uncle, and it was easy to see what she was thinking; Jialan deliberately restrained herself, which only made her feel like a timid girl. The newcomers are all third-class maids and cannot serve their masters closely.Jialan and Ji'er were assigned to Baogai, who had to do the work of boiling water first. The fire must not be turned off, and they had to take turns guarding them at night.

Ji'er promised to change shifts, but when she returned, she slept until dawn and blamed Jialan for not waking her up.Jialan didn't argue. He only said that he squinted for a while in his free time. The two went to pick chrysanthemums, and Xi'er took a fancy to Jialan's better-packed flower basket and took it directly in exchange for keeping her literacy secret.Jialan didn't want to show off her talents in the house, so she put up with these trivial matters for the time being.

Zhao Xingtang also has his own troubles. She is illiterate, and her marriage and life are all arranged by her family. When she is bored, she can only count money to relieve herself. She knew that her mother-in-law sent a new maid because she had not had children for many years. At this time, someone in the eldest wife's room asked Jialan and Ji'er to hand over a Buddhist scripture. Ji'er saw that it was an opportunity to get close to Jin Qi and immediately agreed. On the way back to the hospital, it was about to rain. They bumped into Qing Hui while walking on a small road. After dropping the Buddhist scripture, they picked it up by mistake, and no one noticed.

Jialan accidentally flipped through the text in the book and realized that she actually had an account book in her hand. Thinking that the big shopkeeper was eager to settle the accounts, she guessed that the big grandmother was involved in this matter. She advised Ji'er to hand over the book to the master as soon as possible, but Ji'er insisted on waiting for Jin Qi to come back and go to the room to dress up first.Qinghui went back and found that she had brought the wrong thing, so Xingtang brought someone to find it.Just when Jialan saw that the account book was still there, there were footsteps outside the door.Xingtang saw that the two of them seemed to be illiterate and Ji'er was only focused on dressing up, so he took the account book away without making any announcement.

Jin Qi was not unaware. He found out that Xingtang had married his personal maid to the son of the big shopkeeper. He knew that there was something wrong with the account books he sent, so he checked them when he borrowed them to enter the house, but the big shopkeeper didn't dare to reveal it to Xingtang.Later, when Jiugao came to get the tea, Baogai was not there, so Jiu'er broke the rules and went to deliver it himself.Jialan's reminders were fruitless and she could only wait for Bao Gai to come back and explain the situation.Ji'er came back and proudly showed off the silver reward, and also said that he mentioned to Jin Qi the matter of Grandma getting the Buddhist scriptures. The more Jialan listened, the more worried she became, and advised her not to be so pushy.
